Excuse Me

Friends, I write a daily post on this blog for one main reason. Because I love to write (and exchange ideas.)

Incidentally, this is also why I have not yet done all of the things on my to do list for the blog. (Like adding social media links and contact info, building up a twitter following, working all the bugs out, fixing broken links, etc.) To me, these activities are just not that fun, and I’d rather pen an interesting article any day of the week.

One of my central theories on human nature is that people pursue that which is pleasurable and don’t pursue that which is not. But it occurs to me that this could just be me universalizing a trait that is specific to me.

In any case, I’ve decided to go to an every other day posting format going forward for a few reasons.

  1. I need to set aside some time to work on the architecture of the blog.
  2. I need some more time for reading and researching in order to keep the blog growing in interesting and unexpected directions.
  3. I need to focus on the mechanics of building my readership.

I am not sure this will be a permanent change and I may go back to daily posting in the future once my to do list has been dealt with.

But in the meantime, if there are any topics that you would like covered or questions that need answering, don’t hold back. I often draw inspiration from you.

And I reserve the right to post links to interesting and thought-provoking articles on my off days.  I’m thinking of philosophical stuff like this:

So keep checking back.

      Thanks Kat,

The writing is something that I love to do, that’s unlikely to change.

But the architecture of the blog needs attending to. It’s kind of like pruning a tree I guess. Short-term pain for long-term growth.

      Happy spring!

Its me again… I need some contact info on you. I have a few questions about miles, savings, retirement, etc. These are questions that are too elementary to ask in public forum. I’d be embarrassed. Like that day during our IM rotation when I had to ask you what Diabetes was…. :(
